Isla

This cheeky little madam became part of our growing kennel in 2006 from the Nearctic show kennels down in Mansfield, Notts. Her first journey to Scotland included a stop at the Newcastle service station for a burger - how she scoffed that and now is very often first in the queue for her food! We were a bit anxious about bringing a very young puppy on the 5 hour journey back to Edinburgh, but we need not have worried - when not sleeping, she sat mesmerised by the lights of the oncoming traffic.

She behaved beautifully on the journey home (all thanks to Toni taking her out in the van at a very young age). Even when she had a little holiday with Toni and Ian in Mansfield, she liked nothing better than going with Toni to meet Daniel at the school - she loved all the attention she received from the other children. Very little, even to this day, appears to phase Isla.

We have always chosen the Nearctic breeding for confirmation and most of all for their fantastic temperaments. Isla is a joy to live with.

Isla (Nearctic Ginny Weasley at Gylemuir) is still currently being campaigned at shows and gained her Stud Book Number when she was only 19 months old. She qualified for Crufts at her very first show as a minor puppy at Blackpool in 2006.

She is continuing her success at Championship Shows and has numerous Best of Breeds and Working Group placings at Open Shows here in Scotland.

Isla will hopefully have a litter in April 2009. See our Puppy Page.
