My daughter Fiona (pictured above with two Gylemuir Dobermanns, Tyler & Amber)became interested in Dobermanns when she was about 18. Fiona had always loved dogs from a very young age and used to walk all the dogs in the street, however circumstances prevented her from getting her own dog until later in life. She visited our local champion show (SKC) at Ingliston with a friend who showed labradors, however her eye was soon drawn to the dobermann ring, where she quickly fell in love with the elegance of the graceful dobermann.

Those who know Fiona will realise that Fiona could not just stand and watch the Dobermann ring and she quickly started chatting to Karan Peel of the Kramnarak show kennel. Fiona became friendly with Karan and accompanied Karan and her husband Mark to dog shows and she also visited her kennel in Alloa helping out wherever she could. By this time, Fiona had her own flat and had decided to get a pup of her own. Brora (Kramnarak Straight Ace) was born on 18 September 1995 and at first sight, Fiona's ongoing love of dobermanns was instant. Our story continued on through Brora, her son and daughter Broghan and Rhanna, and with our little bundle of mischief, Isla and I am sure will continue for many years to come.   We are looking forward to campaining our new Gylemuir Babies at LKA in December 2009.  Welcome to the show world Logan (Gylemuir's Strathlochie) & Purdie (Gylemuir's Strathbrea) our new kids on the block.

Our Kennel Club affix 'Gylemuir' was named after Fiona's local primary school here in Edinburgh. Fiona has now become a very experienced handler herself, and has successfully carried out several judging appointments at Open Shows and is looking forward to judging her first Dobermann Club Open Show in March 2011 for The North Eastern Dobermann Society.  She is also a qualified Kennel Club Examiner for the Good Citizen Awards at Darcregan Dog Club here in Edinburgh. We have been Showing Dobermanns for over 14 Years and have made many friends within the Dog World.
