Broghan was such a big puppy when he was born, that Brora had difficulty in giving birth to him. However, all went well thanks to the expertise of Paramedic best friend Vicky, who was the owner of Brora's brother, Vhader (Ch. Kramnarak Black Jack, JW). We had intended keeping a bitch of this litter, however when friends saw Broghan as a puppy, they remarked that he was striking and that we should not let him go to a pet home. So it transpired that our family of dobermanns grew to three as we kept him and his sister, Rhanna.
Broghan was our first homebred (Gylemuir Affix) boy to gain his Kennel Club Stud Book Number. This qualifying him for Crufts for Life! He was such an easy dog to show, his party piece though was yawning in front of the judge when he was moving. This made alot of judges laugh. Broghan was constantly placed at Championship Shows with many Best of Breeds and Group Wins at Open Shows throughout his career.
Sadly Broghan only competed in 4 Veteran classes before he died and was placed high in all of these classes. He had a fantastic temperment and was a great ambassador to the breed. "A True Gentleman".
My Mum and I always called him "Our Special Boy" and he was from the bottom of our hearts. We miss him dearly and he was taken from us so suddenly on that afternoon in June.
