Brora had such energy and absolutely loved life and the showring - she became so excited when people started clapping, desperate to get into the showring! At the height of her career, she became known as "the cocky wee black bitch from Scotland". Had it not been for a very unfortunate accident to Brora's professional handler, Pete Mycroft, we are absolutely sure that Brora would have become a Show Champion - however she was certainly a champion in our eyes and will be missed forever.
Brora won her first RCC when she was only 18 months old and quickly followed on with another 3 RCC's in 12 months. One of Brora's many highlights in her career was qualifying for the Pedigree Veteran Stakes Finals in 2005 at the NEC, Birmingham. A weekend that will never be forgotten. We were so proud of her that day when she entered the huge ring with a massive cheer from the crowd.
She is also the 'first' and now 'only' Scottish Owned and Bred Dobermann Bitch to have qualified for this event. Another one of her highlights was when she won "Best In Show" at an Open Show with an entry of over 700 dogs at only 18 months old.
To my Mum and I, Brora was "our little star" and this is one "little star" that we will love forever and never forget. She is sadly missed and there is not a day that goes by that we don't talk about her and remember the good times we had with her.
